Boxing Day stats - 15 unbeaten, Kane joint-top in Premier League

Mon 27 December 2021, 10:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Victory over Crystal Palace means we've extended our unbeaten record on Boxing Day - the longest in England - to 15 matches.

Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son saw us home 3-0 against Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Our run goes back to 2003, our last defeat on 26 December, a 2-0 loss at Portsmouth. Since then, we've reeled off 12 wins and three draws in 15 matches, scoring 38 goals and conceding only eight in that run.

We've played 25 times on Boxing Day in the Premier League era, winning 15, drawing seven and losing just three.

Meanwhile, Harry's strike to get the ball rolling against Palace was his ninth on Boxing Day. That draws him level with legendary Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler at the top of Boxing Day goalscorers in the Premier League era.

That list includes a couple of familiar names...

Boxing Day goalscorers - Premier League

9 - Harry Kane, Robbie Fowler
8 - Robbie Keane, Alan Shearer
7 - Thierry Henry
6 - Jermain Defoe
5 - Dimitar Berbatov, Andrew Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard
