Rehanne's five-point preview - Manchester United

After a break from the Barclays FA Women's Super League for the international window and the FA Cup, Spurs Women Head Coach Rehanne Skinner shares her thoughts ahead of our return to action against Manchester United on Sunday (12.30pm kick-off).
1 - FA Cup victory
What were our Head Coach’s reflections on the FA Cup victory against Reading last weekend?
“Well obviously, everyone is really buzzing about the fact that we’re getting another game in this season and we’re through to the next round of the FA Cup. The performance was really positive overall, really pleasing. When you have earned something through hard work it just feels different, you know, when you win a game like that. I thought we were excellent in the game, we dominated possession in large parts, created loads of good goal-scoring opportunities and worked really hard to make sure we were defensively really tight as well.”
2 - Jess and Rachel
Jess Naz latched onto a through ball and showed real composure to send us into the fifth round. How impressed was Rehanne with her intensity and work rate?
“We have had to work quite hard at getting that with Jess to be in a position where she is match fit as well. It is one thing to be fit and harder to be match fit in those situations when you have been out for such a long time. For her to get that goal, she was really composed, great finish with the timing and at a stage in the game where she’d put in a lot of work as well, so absolutely she deserves the credit.”
Another player who has overcome injury setbacks is Rachel Williams who also scored her first goal for the Club at Reading.
“It’s great for Rachel, great for the Club and great for her to get back on track. And obviously, you know, with all these players it’s so nice to see them doing so well and showing what they are capable of in the way that we are trying to play. I couldn’t be happier for her and it’s the first of many I hope.”
3 - The final stretch
With three games to go in the league, what was the atmosphere like in camp and was there any team news Rehanne could share with us?
“Obviously, we have come off the back of that [FA Cup win] and we had a positive international window as well where we tweaked little bits in training that has helped us to prepare for this last stage of the season. I think everybody is really on board with that and in general it’s really positive, everyone is working hard and challenging each other on the pitch. We’re continuing to drive and raise standards within the team.
“We are hoping to have [Ria Percival] back before the end of the season. The Chelsea game might be a little bit too soon but we are hopeful for Birmingham and the FA Cup game, it would be great to have her back in the team by that point.”
4 - United test
What did Rehanne expect from Casey Stoney’s side?
“They are a team that’s quick in terms of pressing, they look to try and transition quickly to attacking play. For us, the main thing is we have got to make sure we stick to our game plan, we press with intent like we did in the Reading game and we carry forward the positives from that game into this one with confidence.
"We should be in a good place and we have got to go into every game trying to get points by working as hard as we did against Reading. That’s a standard thing for me, the work ethic has got to be there all the time and that’s something we showed really well for 120 minutes against Reading, so we’re in a really good place and looking forward to that."
5 - Abbie McManus
Would the defender, who is on loan from Manchester United, be eligible to play on Sunday?
“No, she won’t be involved in this weekend’s game based on the loan agreement, but obviously we’re looking forward to having her back in the squad for the games that follow.”
Supporters can watch all of the action live from Sunday's game on the BBC Red Button, 12.30pm kick-off.
