City v Spurs - Carabao Cup Final team news

Fri 23 April 2021, 15:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ryan Mason reports that Harry Kane is making ‘definite progress’ and that the striker’s bid for fitness in time for Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final remains a daily process.

Harry was injured late in the 2-2 draw at Everton last Friday. That ruled him out of our 2-1 win against Southampton in the Premier League on Wednesday night, but he’s working overtime to be ready for Sunday’s showpiece at Wembley.

Interim Head Coach Ryan told us on Friday: “It’s still the same. He wasn’t with the group today, and we’ll see how he is tomorrow. Progress? Yes, definite progress. Like I said all along, Harry is probably one of the most professional footballers in the world, and there will be no doubt that he’ll be doing absolutely everything to get this injury gone as soon as possible.”

Ben Davies remains sidelined and Joe Rodon is cup-tied. Matt Doherty has trained this week and is available.
