Jose Mourinho painted a picture from inside our changing room after Sunday’s goalless draw at Chelsea.
“It’s a good point, but there is a point I want to make, which is to tell our supporters that our dressing room is not a happy dressing room,” he explained. “That is a great thing. It shows the dynamic, it shows the ambition, the confidence.
“We come here and if we play a little bit better, we win, but we had a good performance, a solid performance. We take a point, that point keeps us at the top of the league, and we are not happy. That is the best feeling you can have.”
We looked so strong again as a unit, particularly under more pressure in the second half. Chances were few and far between, and Hugo Lloris’ best save - a super save, at that - was from Mason Mount’s 25-yarder, destined for the bottom corner, touched wide at full stretch by the skipper.
Our best chances arrived in the first half when Steven Bergwijn fired over and Serge Aurier’s snapshot was palmed away by Edouard Mendy. One more followed late in the game when Lucas Moura intercepted Kurt Zouma’s pass out from the back, he found Giovani Lo Celso who appeared caught between trying to find Harry Kane and shooting, and it came to nothing.

Nevertheless, the draw took us back to the top of the Premier League, and 21 points from our first 10 games is just one off our best tally in the Premier League era, 22 gained in 2011/12.
“Chelsea, with all the quality they have, normally they risk more, normally they are a more offensive, they project the full-backs a lot, but they were very cautious,” added Jose. “They played with a certain way of thinking, solid, always ready to cope with us. We were expecting them to be a little more adventurous, but they weren’t.
“In the second half, the clock was ticking and the changes player by player, Abraham-Giroud, Pulisic-Werner, this kind of change, in our case it was basically the same, Davies for left-back and Reguilon more offensive, there was that feeling in the last minutes ‘if we don’t win, we are not going to lose’, and that was when the biggest chance arrived, and then in normal conditions we have to kill it and take the points.”
