Moussa Sissoko is ready to treat each of our remaining games like a cup final – starting against Manchester United on Friday.
We return to action behind closed doors after more than three months without a game following the outbreak of coronavirus and subsequent lockdown, looking to claw ourselves back into the Champions League qualifying places.
We’re currently eighth, seven points off the top four, with fifth-placed United harbouring similar aspirations of securing a spot at European football’s top table.
“It’s going to be nine finals,” underlined midfielder Moussa – who hasn’t featured since injuring his knee at Southampton on New Year’s Day – as we prepare for the visit of the Red Devils to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 30th of our 38-game Premier League campaign.
“We know the situation, where we are and our target is to reach the Champions League for next season so we need to play game by game.
“Now the first game is going to be United. They are a good team, they are in front of us and there is only one thing to do – it’s to beat them.
“We are training very well, everyone is preparing well and we are confident for this first game.”
Kick-off is at 8.15pm.
