Visitors to our stadium enjoyed a tour with a twist recently when Lucas Moura called in to surprise them.
As groups of unsuspecting fans were guided around a behind-the-scenes Stadium Tour, Lucas watched from various hiding places along the route, trying to maintain his cover. The secret spots included familiar First Team areas like the tunnel and dressing room, as well as the stands.
The Brazilian finally revealed himself at the final point of the tour, the Press Auditorium, where he took questions and posed for photos with shocked fans.
Among the visitors was the Prado family, who travelled across the world from Lucas’ hometown of São Paulo, to visit the stadium and watch the Club’s home win against Norwich.
Speaking after the first surprise, 10-year-old Gabriel Prado said: “I love Lucas! We are both from Brazil and I am so happy to meet him here.”
Long-time fan Clive Maxheath added: “I had one of those moments where I thought... hang on, I recognise him! I had a flashback to the winning goal against Ajax. It was bizarre and magical.”
Lucas said: “I had a great time hiding out around the stadium and seeing the look on fans’ faces when I came out from my cover! A special experience.”
