Jose Mourinho confirmed Harry Kane suffered a hamstring injury at Southampton.
The striker clutched the back of his left leg after sliding the ball home on 74 minutes. The goal was ruled out on a narrow off-side call and Harry was replaced by Erik Lamela as it ended 1-0 at St Mary’s.
Jose also lost the services of Eric Dier before the game to a virus and then Tanguy Ndombele was forced off injured after 25 minutes.
Asked in his post-match press conference if the early news on Harry’s injury was negative or positive, Jose replied: “It’s negative. For Harry to come out, it’s negative. A hamstring is always negative. Is it a tear? Is it a small thing, a spasm, a contraction? At this moment I cannot say.”
Speaking to Spurs TV, Jose added: “Son will be back (from suspension), and I think Dier will be back from his illness, but I think we lose these two guys (Harry and Tanguy).”
