It’s official – our Goal of the Decade came right at the end of our latest 10-year period as Heung-Min Son claimed the honours for his marvellous solo strike in the 5-0 home win over Burnley on 7 December, 2019.
Our supporters have been voting in their thousands on social media over the last few days and they’ve chosen Sonny’s effort as our Goal of the Decade, with 43 per cent of the vote.
Lucas Moura’s hat-trick goal in the Champions League semi-final at Ajax last May was runner-up with 30 per cent – more for its importance than its style – while Dele’s brilliant turn and volley at Crystal Palace in January, 2016, was third with seven per cent.
As always, thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.
