In-form Rianna Dean earned praise from Spurs Women Head Coach Juan Amoros after her sixth goal in four games secured a 1-0 win over Brighton.
The 21-year-old striker kept up her 100 per cent record from the penalty spot this season to finally make the breakthrough against a stubborn Seagulls side that had been reduced to 10 players after only half-an-hour at Crawley on Sunday.
She’s now scored five penalties out of five this season, two of which contributed to her hat-trick in last week’s FA Cup win at Coventry United, and is now into double figures with 10 goals in all competitions so far this campaign.
“I think Rianna Dean represents the goals for the team at this moment in time and everyone works extremely hard to get them,” said Juan after our number nine’s latest match-winning exploits.
“We're very happy for her, she’s a young English talent and works extremely hard to become the best that she can be every day.
“It's the same with the defensive side of things – everyone works hard to get a clean sheet and it was nice that Becky (Spencer, goalkeeper) could get that for the team against Brighton, the day after her birthday.”
Spurs Women return to action after the international break with an FA Cup quarter-final showdown at Arsenal on Sunday 15 March.
