Wolves v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Sat 26 December 2020, 14:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Our festive fixture this year takes place not on Boxing Day, but on the evening of Sunday 27 December as we travel to Molineux to face Wolves (7.15pm).

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have lost three of their last four Premier League games, but they did scalp Chelsea in their most recent home fixture on 15 December.

Ahead of the match, here’s our usual run-down of all the key information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday evening’s match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, kick-off 7.15pm.

Alternatively, BBC Radio 5 Live will carry live radio commentary, as will our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you can also enjoy live text commentary, goal alerts and stats, meaning you won’t miss a kick.

Full worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

How will the teams line up?

Giovani Lo Celso has been ruled out of the match at Molineux.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed the Argentine international is sidelined after coming off in last weekend’s home defeat to Leicester City.

When asked when he will return, Jose told reporters: “I don’t know, but I believe that he will not be playing in this period of Christmas, New Year’s Eve for sure.”

Tanguy Ndombele could return having not travelled for the midweek Carabao Cup win at Stoke City. Joe Rodon is eligible to feature again having been cup-tied for Wednesday’s match.

Wolves are likely to be without midfielder Leander Dendoncker through injury, while defender Jonny and forward Raul Jimenez remain sidelined.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Sunday’s match will be refereed by Paul Tierney, along with assistants Dan Cook and Harry Lennard.

Andre Marriner is pencilled in as the fourth official.

Our new Nike 2020/21 Away kit proved popular on its maiden first team outing at Stoke on Wednesday and the good news is we’ll be back in the same colours – dark green shirts, black shorts with dark green socks – at Molineux.

Our goalkeeper will be in the third-choice goalkeeper strip of all blue.

Wolves, meanwhile, will be in their usual Old Gold with black shorts, while their goalkeeper will be in bright green.

What will the weather be like?

After a wet start to the day, it’s forecast to be dry and bright for much of Sunday in Wolverhampton, but temperatures will drop to just one degree for kick-off in the evening.

What happened on our last trip to Molineux?
