Jan Vertonghen surprised Spurs fan Beryl Gill with a special video call to mark her 80th birthday.
Beryl, from Essex, a fan since 1960 and still a Season Ticket Holder, celebrated her big day at home as we all continue to follow guidelines in fighting the coronavirus.
Jan explained how the squad were still training together remotely and the pair spoke about Beryl's love of Spurs, the new stadium, how they were coping in lockdown. Jan said he was enjoying time with the family, although he admitted his children were getting bored of him being around! "They keep asking why I'm at home all the time!"
The call includes a lovely exchange where Beryl explains where her seats are at the new stadium - in the North lower - the same end where Jan scored recently against Norwich...
Jan: "Next time I'll run to your corner if I score."
Beryl: "You will and, yes, please do."
Jan: "Appreciate the confidence!"
