What a derby, what a comeback, what a week back in November, 2010!
Buoyed by a 4-2 win over Blackburn on 13 November, we'd prepared for a crucial week almost 10 years ago. First up, the derby - nothing more to say on that one! After the derby, Werder Bremen at home in the Champions League, knowing victory would see us through to the knockout phase. Then, a week later, Liverpool at the Lane.
Needless to say, Harry Redknapp's team delivered three wins on the trot, starting with this memorable fightback and victory at the Emirates.
Trailing 2-0 at the break, goals from Gareth Bale, Rafa van der Vaart and Younes Kaboul completed the turn around. Rafa claimed both assists, as well. We soon followed up with a 3-0 win against Werder Bremen and then toppled Liverpool 2-1. What a week!
