Juan Foyth has returned to full training but won’t feature in Wednesday’s Champions League Group B opener against Olympiacos.

The Argentine defender has been out of action since picking up an ankle injury during our pre-season Audi Cup clash with Bayern Munich.

However, with the squad having travelled to Athens today (Tuesday) for the start of our 2019/20 European campaign, the 21-year-old has remained in London, having only returned to full training in recent days.

Ryan Sessegnon, meanwhile, is undergoing assessment after reporting irritation with his previous hamstring injury, which has seen him sidelined since the summer.

Fellow new signing Giovani Lo Celso is in the early stages of rehabilitation after sustaining a hip injury on international duty with Argentina earlier this month.

Kick-off in Greece on Wednesday is at 7.55pm local time, 5.55pm in the UK.
