Hugo: “We don’t have to talk too much, we have to show it”

It doesn’t seem too long ago that we were celebrating a 4-0 win against Palace. Less than two weeks ago, in fact. No wonder Hugo Lloris states: “In football, the balance is very fragile. It can turn at any moment.”
That balance has turned against us since that Palace win, our last appearance at the new stadium on 14 September.
We led 2-0 only for Olympiacos to battle back for a 2-2 draw in the Champions League in Athens last week. We led 1-0 at Leicester, were denied a second goal by a marginal VAR decision and lost 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday. Then we couldn’t break down Colchester United in 90 minutes and lost on penalties in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.
Results are most important. That is the only way to get back the good feeling
Back at Hotspur Way, skipper Hugo told us on Wednesday: “I think we are honest between ourselves and now we don’t have to talk too much, we have to show it on the pitch from the first moment of the game against Southampton with desire and intensity.
"It's important for us to stay focussed on our work and to be ready for the next game.
“Colchester was a big disappointment for the players, the Club, the fans, but it’s done and the only way to bounce back is to prepare for the next game as well as we can and try to win three points against Southampton in the Premier League.
“Results are most important. That is the only way to get back the good feeling.”
