Nemanja Matić
Commentator, Serbian national television (RTS)
“Everybody thinks that it’s going to be a completely different game because Red Star are going to play with the great support of their fans and in this stadium, Red Star have played 12 games without losing (this season, indeed, they've lost only two of their last 21 home matches in Europe) so I think it’s going to be a totally different game, although Tottenham are the favourites in this game. They’re a great team but also Red Star have a big tradition, they won the competition in 1991 so I think that maybe something like last year is going to happen when Red Star took three points from Liverpool.
“A key player is Marko Marin, he’s something different in Serbian football. He’s a great star, an excellent player but also, in the defensive positions, Red Star have good players and a good goalkeeper so I think it’s going to be, in a tactical way, something different from Vladan Milojević because he’s always trying to do something unusual. Maybe Marin and Milan Pavkov, he scored two goals against Liverpool, he’s a great player but maybe someone to watch. We’ll see who is going to play in the forward areas.
“There are great fans and a great atmosphere here but there is also a good tradition here. They have that one European Cup title, one title of world champions in football and they have great tradition in Red Star Stadium, they’ve beaten all the biggest names in football, they have 53 years of playing in the European championship and have had great success. It’s great support and also a great tradition of this big club.”

Mauricio Pochettino
Spurs manager
"It's a new stadium and a different atmosphere for everyone. We're going to have a great experience. Red Star is a very good team. All the circumstances that were in London we're not going to have here. The last season we can see how Liverpool were defeated here, one of the best teams in Europe.
"Of course we respect Red Star and have full respect. We're going to show big respect but of course try to play in our best way, being ready to fight because the atmosphere is going to be great. I want to live and enjoy the experience because I hear many things about this stadium and the fans here at Red Star. It will be fantastic to be here and enjoy it."

Vladan Milojević
Crvena zvezda coach
"I am very happy that we can play such a team in our country and in front of our fans. We will present ourselves in the best light and try to play the best we can without stress and burden. We are different side in our stadium, with the stands full and with so much energy. It's not easy for anyone to play here, not even the biggest teams."
Harry Kane
Spurs captain and striker
"I’ve heard from a few players that the atmosphere is going to be very tough and very hostile but once we’re on the pitch we have to focus on ourselves and do everything we can in our power to win the game. Of course we had a good game a few weeks ago against Red Star, there were moments in the game maybe at 1-0 or 2-0 where they had chances to score and get back in the game and it could have been totally different, so we have to make sure we’re ready in every minute, try to get the three points and hopefully it will put us in a great position."
