Ledley rewards Haringey's sporting stars

The Club has supported this year’s Haringey Celebrating Sport Awards, an annual ceremony hosted by Haringey Council which celebrates the sporting achievements of teams, individuals, coaches and volunteers in the Borough.

Friday’s event, which was held at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, was attended by Club Ambassador Ledley King who helped present the awards. Awards included Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Sport and Physical Activity, Disabled Sport Performer of the Year and Club of the Year.

Councillor Kaushika Amin, Cabinet Member for Civic Services, said: “We are thrilled to play our part in rewarding Haringey’s sporting stars and celebrate the achievements of these talented individuals. Sport can transform people’s lives and these awards highlight the impressive work that is being carried out across the Borough.”

Ledley said: “I am delighted to support this awards ceremony and have the chance to meet some of Haringey’s best sporting talent. I would like to congratulate the winners on their accomplishments and wish them every success for the future.”
