The Spurs Legends side will aim to complete the month of June unbeaten when they head to Maidstone United this weekend.
After a rocky start to their 2019 season, the team of former Spurs players have found a purple patch in recent weeks, coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Hambleden FC in Buckinghamshire on 9 June before flying out of the blocks on the way to a 7-2 victory over charity side H.A.D. at Aveley FC on Sunday (23 June).
Defender Pascal Chimbonda opened his goalscoring account for the Legends with a header in the latter game to set them on their way to a resounding win.
And it could have been more, but David Howells saw his effort controversially ruled out for off-side.

It means the Legends have momentum on their side ahead of this Sunday’s (30 June) outing at Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium. Kick-off is at 2pm, with tickets available on the day.
Meanwhile, tributes have been paid to the late Justin Edinburgh at each of the Legends’ matches since his passing. A minute’s applause has been held at the start of each fixture, while some of the defender’s former team-mates – including Stuart Nethercott and Legends team captain Tony Galvin – laid Justin’s match shirt on the centre spot at Hambleden in the first match following his death. Justin had been a regular player in the Legends team for the last several years, helping to raise funds for worthy causes by playing in friendly matches all over the south of the UK.
