Tottenham Hotspur Women have been invited to compete in the Ramon de Carranza Trophy in Spain next month as part of our pre-season programme.
The four-team tournament is celebrating its 65th anniversary and this year, for the first time, will be contested by women’s teams.
With Real Betis, Athletic Club (Bilbao) and CD Tacón also taking part, the tournament will serve as excellent preparation as we continue to count down to the start of our debut season in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
Matches will take place between 12-14 August at the Ramon de Carranza Stadium in Cadiz, on the west coast of Spain.
Athletic Club and CD Tacón will contest the first semi-final on 12 August, before we meet Real Betis in the second semi-final the following day. Betis finished sixth in the women’s top flight in Spain last season.
The winners of both matches will meet in the final on 14 August.
