Chloe Peplow: ‘I’m excited to be part of something special’

New recruit Chloe Peplow says she is confident in our team’s ability and is eagerly anticipating the start of the 2019/20 Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL).
Chloe joined us from Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month as we bolstered the squad with several new faces.
In her first interview, the midfielder said: “I think in terms of recruitment, the Club has done a really good job in bringing the team together and I believe we’ll be able to get a good result from anyone on our day.
“We know how strong the other WSL teams are – we’ll certainly be competitive and be looking to push on from the success of last season.
“The first game is going to be so exciting and a big occasion for all – I’m just really excited to be part of something special.”
In the midst of pre-season, the 20-year-old is pleased with how things are going so far.
“The girls have been really welcoming as well as Karen (Hills), Juan (Amoros) and the coaches who have been unbelievable,” she added. “It’s a great environment to be in, everyone wants to be here and everyone wants to get the best out of each other.
“We’re all really positive and I feel like I’ve known the players for a lot longer than a week or so. We’re all excited to get going.”

The England Under-21 international describes herself as a defensive midfielder who enjoys plenty of possession.
“I love to always be on the ball, spraying the ball and constantly passing,” she continued. “I bring quite a bit of experience, even though I’m a young player. I’ve played quite a lot for Brighton and Birmingham so I’ve got WSL experience and that will help me and hopefully benefit my team-mates too.”
Chloe could feature for the first time as a Spurs player against Southampton in our pre-season friendly on Sunday (28 July, 2pm kick-off at Eastleigh FC).
