Dortmund result 'in my top three' - Jan Vertonghen

Jan Vertonghen lists our 3-0 win against Borussia Dortmund as one of the best results in his time at Spurs.
One of our longest-serving players, Jan, who joined us in 2012, shone in a memorable display as we toppled the Bundesliga leaders in the Champions League Round of 16, first leg at Wembley last week.
Belgium’s most-capped player, Jan, 31, set up the crucial first goal for Heung-Min Son on 47 minutes and then scored the second himself seven minutes from time. Fernando Llorente took us into dreamland with the third goal three minutes later.

Voted Man of the Match and then the Champions League's Player of the Week, Jan didn’t hesitate when asked to rank the performance and result in his time at the Club.
We’ve had some great nights at Wembley and at the Lane, some away games as well - I’d say it’s in my top three
“It’s certainly somewhere very high!” said Jan, who is fourth-equal with Harry Kane in terms of all-time European appearances for the Club. “I’d say it’s in my top three.
“We’ve had some great nights at Wembley and at the Lane, some away games as well. We had the Real Madrid game last season (3-1 win at Wembley) but that was in the group stage and we all know what then happened against Juventus (in the Round of 16, lost 4-3 on aggregate) and we don’t want that to happen again.
“This result is massive for us. We’re still not finished because I can remember the Inter away game where we lost 3-0 (in 2012/13 we won the first leg of our Europa League tie 3-0, went 3-0 down at the San Siro and eventually lost 4-1 to go through on away goals) and that can’t happen again.”
