Hugo Lloris: "Together we'll find the solution"

Hugo Lloris struggled to find the words to sum up his feelings after the 2-0 loss against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The home team took the honours with goals to forget from our point of view in the second half. Pedro opened the scoring after cutting in from the right and firing home at the near post before Kieran Trippier and Hugo’s mix-up led to the full-back finding his own net six minutes from time.
Both teams hit the woodwork in the first half but despite edging possession and territory, we struggled to create clear-cut chances.
It was a blow you felt Hugo wasn’t expecting after Saturday’s loss at Burnley. “What can I say? It’s a big disappointment because there were a lot of expectations after the loss against Burnley,” contemplated the skipper afterwards, pitchside at an empty Stamford Bridge.
“It’s the way we conceded, the own goal... especially as we felt we could get to 1-1 at that stage, we were pushing, but from nothing it’s 2-0.
To lose two games in a row leaves a bad taste and only together are we going to find the solution.
“I don’t think it was a bad game from us but we can play at a better level collectively and we didn’t create too much. We needed to do better defensively and offensively. It was a strange game.

Focus now turns sharply to the latest north London derby at Wembley on Saturday (12.30pm) with Arsenal moving to within four points of us thanks to a 5-1 win against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
“Whatever would have happened against Chelsea, playing Arsenal is always a big game,” added Hugo. “It’s important to win to keep the gap. They are in a good run too so they are confident.
“Now it’s about bouncing back together as a team and getting back to basics, to be strong. The positive thing is that we play again in three days. That’s good for us.”
