Tottenham HotspurSpurs Ladies’ Angela Addison has been shortlisted for February’s FA Women’s Championship Player of the Month award.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has featured off the bench in all of Spurs Ladies’ matches over the last month, notably slaloming through the Leicester City defence to score a sensational 96th-minute winner and secure Karen Hills’ side a vital 1-0 win last time out at Cheshunt.
She also won a penalty in the recent Women’s FA Cup clash with Women’s Super League leaders Manchester City, only to see her subsequent spot-kick well saved.
Angela, whose twin sister Therese plays for Spurs Ladies’ reserve side, is one of four nominees in the running for the award. Joining her are Ella Toone of Manchester United Women, Gemma Bryan of Crystal Palace Ladies and Millwall Lionesses’ Evie Clarke.
