UEFA Champions League group stage opponents confirmed

We have been drawn against Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Crvena zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) in Group B of this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The draw took place this evening at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Exact dates and kick-off times for all of our fixtures will be confirmed later this evening, with ticket information to follow.

We strongly advise fans NOT to book travel until full ticketing details have been confirmed.

Full UEFA Champions League group stage draw

Group A: Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Real Madrid (ESP), Club Brugge (BEL), Galatasaray (TUR).
Group B: Bayern Munich (GER), Tottenham Hotspur (ENG), Olympiacos (GRE), Crvena zvezda (SRB).
Group C: Manchester City (ENG), Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR), GNK Dinamo (CRO), Atalanta (ITA).
Group D: Juventus (ITA), Atlético Madrid (ESP), Bayer Leverkusen (GER), Lokomotiv Moskva (RUS).
Group E: Liverpool (ENG), Napoli (ITA), Salzburg (AUT), Genk (BEL).

Bayern Munich

Stadium: Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity).
Last season: First in Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal winners.
Manager: Niko Kovac.
European Cup/Champions League winners: 1973/74, 1974/75, 1975/76, 2000/01, 2012/13.
Last competitive meeting: Third round of the 1983/84 UEFA Cup. We lost the first leg 1-0 away but triumphed 2-0 at the Lane, with goals from Steve Archibald and Mark Falco sealing our progress.

Olympiacos

Stadium: Karaiskakis Stadium (32,115 capacity).
Last season: Second in Super League Greece.
Manager: Pedro Martins.
Best finish in Champions League: 1998/99 quarter-finals.
Last competitive meeting: Second round of the 1972/73 UEFA Cup. We lost the second leg in Greece 1-0 but ultimately progressed having already secured a 4-0 victory at the Lane, with Martin Chivers, Ralph Coates and Jimmy Pearce (2) on target.

Crvena zvezda

Stadium: Rajko Mitić Stadium (55,538 capacity).
Last season: First in Serbian SuperLiga.
Manager: Vladan Milojevic.
European Cup winners: 1990/91.
Last competitive meeting: Third round of the 1972/73 UEFA Cup. Goals from Martin Chivers and Alan Gilzean gave us a 2-0 win at the Lane and that was enough to secure our place in the next stage of the competition, even though we suffered a 1-0 defeat in Belgrade.

Today's draw also established the groups for the UEFA Champions League path of the UEFA Youth League, meaning our Under-19s can also look forward to facing Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade at home and away.
