Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama have returned to training with the squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.
Eric has been missing since the Manchester City game on 29 October with a thigh injury while fellow central midfielder Victor has been suffering with a knee problem since our Carabao Cup win at West Ham two nights later.
“Victor and Eric are back in training but we have another training session tomorrow and we’ll decide if they can be available or not,” explained Mauricio Pochettino after training today (Thursday).
Unfortunately, Mousa Dembele’s scans have confirmed ligament damage to his right ankle and he is unlikely to be available until the New Year. The midfielder was forced off early in last Saturday’s win at Wolves.
Left-back Danny Rose (groin) and central defender Jan Vertonghen (hamstring) are continuing with their rehabilitation and remain unavailable for Saturday.
Kick-off at Selhurst Park is at 5.30pm.
