Mauricio Pochettino feels Wolves have already demonstrated they have the quality to compete in the Premier League.

Draws in high-profile matches against both Manchester clubs illustrate Mauricio’s point with impressive wins at tough venues West Ham and Palace backing it up further.

Flying from the start of the season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have just hit their first bump since promotion from the Championship with defeats against Watford and Brighton, although few would disagree that they deserved more at the Amex last time out.

However, they remain 10th in the standings as we travel to Molineux.

“Wolves are doing very well,” said Mauricio. “We know the manager very well, Nuno did a great job in the Championship and now in the Premier League. He is showing his quality. It will be good to face him.

“They compete very well. It’s tough to be consistent in the Premier League but they are showing from the beginning of the season that they can compete and they have the quality to compete.”

Wolves tend to stick to a 3-4-3 system and play a possession game with the likes of Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves pulling the strings in midfield.

Possession is also key for Mauricio. “We normally face teams with a similar philosophy to Wolves and it’s a challenge - but we know their style well and we’ll try to be better and win. That’s most important in the end.”
