Trips: "It's crazy how football goes!"
Kieran reacts to World Cup call

Kieran Trippier was called into the senior England squad for the first time just under a year ago. Now he's being tipped to start the Three Lions' World Cup opener against Tunisia in Russia next month. No wonder he calls football 'crazy'!
The flying full-back/wing-back was on our post-season tour in Hong Kong last summer when he was named in Gareth Southgate's squad for the World Cup qualifier against Scotland and friendly against France.
He made his debut against Les Bleus at the Stade de France on 13 June and four more caps later and a fine season under his belt at Spurs and the 27-year-old is now part of Southgate's 23-man squad for Russia.
Kieran started England's last two matches - friendlies against Holland and Italy in March - where Southgate tested a new 3-4-3 system with Kyle Walker one of the three centre-backs. Many pundits believe he will stick to that formula and that Kieran will be in the 11 when England face Tunisia in their Group G opener on 18 June.
I grew up up watching the World Cup and to be a part of it, I'm speechless really
Speaking after his call-up, 'Trips' said: "It’s crazy how football goes!
"I made my England debut last year and if I thought then about having the chance to go to the World Cup and even starting...it’s an unbelievable feeling.
"To be involved in a World Cup, just to be there and part of the squad and now people talking that I could start, it’s incredible. I can't wait and whatever happens, I'll give my all."
Kieran's England caps so far...
