Young Spurs fan Ethan, 13, who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, was given a surprise visit to the Club’s Training Centre on Monday as part of BBC Radio 1’s ‘Christmas Surprise’, a feature which recognises and rewards inspirational listeners during the festive period.

Ethan, a huge Spurs supporter, was diagnosed with Leukaemia in September this year and is currently in Phase Two of his treatment. Since becoming ill, Ethan has been determined not to let his diagnosis get in the way and, with the help of his two brothers, Ciaran, 13, and Patrick, 24, he has raised over £7,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

In recognition of his achievements, Ethan was surprised live on air by BBC Radio 1’s breakfast presenter Greg James, who played a recorded message from Harry Kane inviting him to the Training Centre. Ethan and his two brothers were treated to a tour of Hotspur Way by Club Ambassador Ledley King and met Davinson Sanchez.

Ethan said: “It was so exciting coming to the Training Centre and meeting some of my footballing heroes. My brothers and I always watch Spurs play on the TV, so it was brilliant to see where they train every day.”
