Mauricio Pochettino says our vital clash against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday will remain on the back burner until after our Premier League trip to Leicester City on Saturday evening (7.45pm).

We have to match Inter’s result against PSV to progress to the knockout stages of the UCL when we travel to the Nou Camp on Matchday Six.

Attentions will turn to that huge game at approximately 11pm on Saturday night.

Before then, Mauricio is preparing for another important clash at the King Power Stadium against a Foxes side on a run of six unbeaten in the Premier League.

The focus for us is to try to win the three points against Leicester

“After four-and-a-half years, you know me and the most important thing is Leicester,” said Mauricio. “The focus for us is to try to win the three points against Leicester. That is the most important game.

“We are maybe going to rest some players because they need rest, not because we’re playing against Barcelona on Tuesday.

“We have a lot of players, we trust in all the squad and we will take the best decision thinking that we need to be fresh to compete again.

“The decisions we make will try to provide the best tools to the players to win the game against Leicester, not the game after.”
