Younes Kaboul believes failure is not an option as we prepare to host Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
Consecutive defeats against Chelsea and Benfica over the last week have left us short of momentum going into the latest clash with our North London rivals.
Experienced defender Younes , who captained the side in Thursday night’s Europa League reverse in the absence of club skipper Michael Dawson, is keen to arrest the slump as soon as possible – and he believes home advantage can play a vital part in proceedings on Sunday afternoon.
When asked if the Arsenal clash provides us with the perfect opportunity to return to winning ways, Younes simply replied: “Of course. We don’t have any choice.
“We need a result on Sunday otherwise it’s going to be tough until the end of the season,” he continued. “It’s always good to play at home and we hope that the fans will continue their fantastic support and we can get a good result.”
A glance at the pre-match team news reminds us that the hamstring injury Mesut Ozil picked up in midweek has seen him join an already lengthy list of casualties in Arsene Wenger’s ranks.
But Younes isn’t interested in Arsenal’s absentees – insisting it’s all about us on Sunday.
“Even if they have the whole team available it won’t change anything for us because we look at ourselves first,” he added.
“We need to put in a big performance on Sunday to take the three points.”
