You could always see Harry's hunger - Danny

Fri 02 January 2015, 09:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Danny Rose joined the chorus of praise for Harry Kane, stating: "He deserves all the plaudits he gets."

The full-back grabbed the all-important second goal to hand us the lead and the momentum in our memorable 5-3 win against Chelsea on New Year's Day.

But the spotlight once again fell on Harry, who scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season so far in all competitions and had the game of his life up against established centre-half pairing John Terry and Gary Cahill.

Harry struck a brilliant equaliser, won the penalty dispatched by Andros Townsend for 3-1, scored the fourth himself and then set-up Nacer Chadli for the fifth on a night to remember at the Lane.

"Harry can do no wrong at the minute and every bit of praise he gets is full deserved," said Danny, one of five players alongside Harry, Ryan Mason, Andros and Nabil Bentaleb to have come through the Academy and now start against Chelsea in the Premier League.

"I remember when he was younger and at times he’d come up and train with the first team and you could see the hunger he had.

"His finishing is brilliant, right and left foot, he holds the ball up well, he’s honest, he runs in behind and will chase every ball.

"I’m so happy for him and he deserves all the plaudits he gets."
