'We kept our heads up' - Hugo

Hugo Lloris hopes our gutsy display against Arsenal can inspire us to go on a winning run between now and the end of the season.

An arrowed drive from Tomas Rosicky after just 72 seconds of Sunday’s North London Derby ended up proving the difference between the sides on a passionate afternoon at White Hart Lane.

And while clearly deflated by the reverse, our charismatic goalkeeper was pleased with the response of the lads to last week’s results against Chelsea and Benfica – adding that our performance wasn’t necessarily reflected in the scoreline.

“We didn’t deserve to lose that game,” Hugo summed up. “We know we are in a difficult situation and we lost some confidence after the Chelsea and Benfica games.

“But today we were creative and even after the goal we kept our heads high and we tried to come back.

“Some things – Chadli’s shot that was blocked for example – went against us but that’s football. It’s like that.

“We now need to put on great performances until the end of the season and we’re going to see after that where we will be.”
