Ultimate Team - midfielders, part 3

Voting is still open for the four midfield spots in Spurs' Ultimate Team.

The top four remain Gareth Bale, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne and David Ginola.

There are numerous factors to consider - and with so many talented players having graced our midfield down the years, picking your four promises to be a tough task!

First off, the engine room needs players who could thrive in the middle of the park, winning back possession and driving us forward.

And then you need width. The pace and trickery of our wide men throughout the eras has been nothing short of dazzling, while a ball-playing maestro could provide that extra attacking flair from a central position.

To help you decide on your midfield quartet, we’ve split up the 18 candidates into sections.

Here’s a look at just three of the midfielders up for nomination...

GLENN HODDLE
One of the most skilful players to ever grace the game and often voted our greatest-ever player, Glenn spent 12 glorious years at the Lane between 1975-87. During that time he made 490 appearance in all competitions to place him in our all-time top five and one of only 16 players to score 100 goals for us with 110 in total. A master of the football, Glenn scored some of the best goals we've seen - his volleys against United and Forest, the famous chip against Watford and his solo goal against Oxford in 1987 to name just a few. He helped us lift the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 - he scored in the '82 final and replay - was injured for the 1984 UEFA Cup and then started again in the 1987 FA Cup Final before moving to Monaco.

TONY GALVIN
A classic old-fashioned winger, Tony was key to the success of Keith Burkinshaw's team of the early 1980s. Snapped up from non-league Goole Town, Tony went on to make 273 appearances for us between 1979-87 and played in all six matches (finals, replays, two legs) as we won the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 and the UEFA Cup in 1984.

RICKY VILLA
Forever remembered for his solo goal in the 1981 FA Cup Final replay against City, Ricky joined the club in 1978 when 'Spurs scooped the world' to sign World Cup winners Ricky and Ossie Ardiles. Ricky recovered from the blow of being substituted from the initial final tie in 1981 to score twice in the replay and carve his name in Spurs and English football forever. He played 179 times for us between 1978-1983.
