Ledley King joined our Global Coaching team for special coaching sessions with local team Clarkson Soccer Club in Toronto on Monday morning.
Over 50 boys and girls were taught the Spurs philosophy at the Allan A. Lamport Stadium in the city.
The first session saw our coaches put on a 'Coach The Coaches' Workshop while in the second session, the kids were split into four groups with coaches Nick Hardy, Anthony Graves, Joe Staunton and Sean Harris for a Football Workshop, where the youngsters were taught ball skills with a number of short, sharp drills.
The added bonus for all participants was our legendary former captain and Club Ambassador Ledley floating between the groups, passing on his invaluable expertise.
Ledley was later available for a Question & Answer session.
"I loved the game, loved every minute of playing for Spurs and now I'm fortunate in my role at the Club to be able to give something back," Ledley told the youngsters. "I can pass on my knowledge and tell the kids about having the right values, working hard and showing determination to succeed. I feel very lucky."
Founded in 1972, Clarkson SC has over 2,000 players registered from the age of four upwards with most teams playing in the South Region Soccer League in Ontario.
