Tottenham Hotspur today announced a promotional visit to Seoul, South Korea from May 23 to 25 as part of the Club’s post season programme.
This visit will take place in the days leading up to the Club’s exhibition match against Kitchee SC at the Hong Kong National Stadium on Friday, May 26. Four first team players will make the trip to Seoul on the same day the rest of the squad travel to Hong Kong, including South Korea international Heung-Min Son, who will lead the contingent alongside Kyle Walker, Ben Davies and Kevin Wimmer. The quartet of players will then join up with their team mates in Hong Kong to prepare for our fixture against the domestic league champions Kitchee.
The trip to Seoul will provide the Club with the opportunity to further engage with local fans, as well as providing a number of touch points to attract new supporters. The official Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Club in South Korea continues to grow and is one of over 150 the Club has around the world.
The visit will also afford the Club the opportunity to engage with existing and valued partners such as AIA and Kumho Tyre, both of whom have a strong presence in South Korea and across Asia.
Daniel Levy, Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, said: “The Club is looking forward to visiting South Korea for the first time since our last official trip in 2005. We have such a thriving fan base in the country and this is a chance for them to meet some of our First Team and for our players to thank them for their fantastic support.”
South Korea international and Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son added: “It is very exciting to visit my home country alongside some of my Spurs team mates and I look forward to showing them the Korean way of life and the extremely warm welcome that our fans will undoubtedly give us. We can’t wait to get there."
