Tim Sherwood was delighted to see four players all make a successful return to action in Thursday's friendly victory at West Ham.

Younes Kaboul, Paulinho, Sandro and Jan Vertonghen all started as we ran out 3-0 winners at Upton Park.

Sandro played the first half with Jan, Paulinho and Younes completing an hour.

Paulinho found the target with a rasper to make it 2-0 at half-time, his strike sandwiched between two clinical finishes from Harry Kane. Lewis Holtby provided the assists for all three goals.

“It is great news to see so many lads returning from injury at such a crucial time," said Head Coach Tim at Upton Park. "They have come though okay and it’s good to see them get some minutes under their belts. There is nothing like playing.

"With players of this quality coming back to fitness it reinforces the fact that we have strength and depth in the squad. And players with real quality and ability. That’s what I look for.

"I see reports saying I want  this and that, that I want British or I want youth, that’s not accurate - what I want is technically good players and we have that in abundance throughout the dressing room."
