Tickets have gone on sale for our pre-season friendly against QPR on Saturday August 5 when we travel to Loftus Road to take part in Danny Maddix's Testimonial.
It will be the third-successive season the sides have met in Shepherd's Bush for a pre-season match and both managers are expected to field full-strength teams for the occasion.
Maddix is preparing for another tough encounter as the teams prepare for their respective campaigns. "We have played a couple of friendlies against Spurs in recent years and they have been very competitive games," said the defender.
"I know that Gerry Francis and now George Graham want hard-fought friendlies with the new season approaching. The players definitely want to get all the cobwebs out of the system and have a good work-out.
"And the new signings add to the occasion. The fans will want to come along and see the new men on show. I would like to see all the fans turning up, not just because it is my day but also to see a competitive game. It should be a good day."
Ticket prices are L15 adults, L8 senior citizens, L5 children. For further details, ring the QPR box office on 0208-740-2505.
Hospitality packages are also available. Please contact Monique Wayne on 0208-950-2433 for details.
In addition to the main match, it is hoped to have a 20-minute each way game featuring the Rangers and Spurs' 1982 FA Cup Final teams. Organisers are also hoping to stage a celebrity cricket match together featuring cricket and showbiz stars.
