Tottenham HotspurAs the Club continues to mark this period of Remembrance 100 Years on from the Battle of the Somme, the team will wear special edition shirts emblazoned with a Poppy during Sunday’s North London derby at Arsenal.
In support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, the match-worn shirts will be signed by the players and auctioned to raise money for the charity next week.
In addition, Mauricio Pochettino will wear a special edition jacket donated by the Club’s formal wear partner, Aquascutum, that will be personally signed and entered into the shirt auction.
Our supporters have once again proven to be a credit to the Club with their response to our #SpursRemembers campaign over the past week.
Not only was a Minute’s Silence and Last Post impeccably observed before kick-off at last Saturday’s game with Leicester, fans have also shown their generosity in support of the Poppy Appeal.
Our Limited Edition Spurs Poppy Pin badge has already sold out for a second consecutive year while poppy sellers at the Lane last Saturday reported sales of just under £1,300 in the space of one-and-a-half hours before the game – an incredible show of support for this worthy cause.
