Sunderland vs Spurs - Mauricio's preview

Mauricio Pochettino expects a tough test as we return to Premier League action at Sunderland after the international break this afternoon (Saturday, September 13).

But the Head Coach insisted: “We’re ready.”

Nabil Bentaleb was the final international to return to the club after playing in Algeria’s win against Mali late on Wednesday night.

It left Mauricio one full day to prepare the full squad but the good news was everyone returned fit. “It’s always difficult when the players go away but everyone has come back in good condition and we’ll now prepare for the game on Saturday,” Mauricio told us after training on Thursday.

“We have a tough game against Sunderland, a difficult team to play in a stadium with passionate supporters.

“The most important thing though is how we are and it’s important for us to be ready, to be focused and to get a good result.”
