We've dipped into the photographic archives to look back at our trips to Sunderland in the Premier League era.

We first played at the Stadium of Light in October, 1999 and we've played there 12 times in total and travelled to Sunderland 13 times in the Premier League.

Our first meeting against the Black Cats was a friendly all the way back in March, 1898 and our first league encounter at Sunderland famous former stadium, Roker Park, in the old Division One in September, 1909. Tom Morris scored in a 3-1 defeat.

Sunderland were relegated from Division One in 1991 before returning to what had become the Premier League in 1996-97. In our first and only visit to Roker Park in the Premier League, Steffen Iversen scored a hat-trick in a 4-0 win in March, 1997.

We've won five of our 12 meetings in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light and we're unbeaten in the last four, winning three - all 2-1 - including last season's victory in December, 2013.
