Spurs vs WBA U18s - Kieran's preview

Fri 12 September 2014, 09:50|Tottenham Hotspur

Kieran McKenna wants our Under-18s to use the momentum from last weekend’s Champions Cup win to their advantage when hosting West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Our youngsters return to Barclays Under-18 Premier League action against the Baggies, kick-off 12pm, having tested themselves against youth teams from Benfica, Real Madrid and Everton on the way to securing tournament silverware last weekend.

Under-18s Coach Kieran, who has seen the lads take five points from their opening three league fixtures of the 2014-15 campaign, expects similar standards of performances to those on show last weekend from whoever takes to the field against West Brom at the Training Centre.

“It’ll be a good game,” he said. “West Brom always come here to give us a good challenge and, although we’ll look to rotate our squad a little bit, we’ll certainly be looking to hit the heights of last weekend again.

“We’ve had two draws in the last two league games but the performances have generally been very pleasing so we’re looking for another good showing individually and collectively.”

We’ll have half- and full-time updates from the game on Twitter @SpursOfficial on Saturday, in addition to a full report and photos here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.
