Spurs vs Palace - team news

Fri 10 January 2014, 16:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Jermain Defoe, Lewis Holtby, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andros Townsend are back in the frame to face Palace on Saturday.

All four players are back in training after injury.

Jermain has been out for five matches with a hamstring injury, the same problem that has kept Andros sidelined since December 18. Lewis missed the Festive period with a knee injury and Gylfi hasn’t featured since Boxing Day due to a calf problem.

Younes Kaboul (thigh) and Sandro (hamstring) have also returned to training, but are not ready to return to action. Paulinho (ankle) and Jan Vertonghen (ankle) remain out.

“Andros, Gylfi, Lewis and Jermain are all back in contention,” said Head Coach Tim Sherwood.

“Younes isn’t ready yet and Sandro, Paulinho and Jan Vertonghen are all out.

“We’ve done well in our Premier League programme and we want to keep that going. The more players we get back and raring to go, the better for us.”
