Spurs v Chelsea - a fan's guide to Wembley

As we approach our first home game of the new season at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE, here is the key information you need to know ahead of our Premier League encounter with Chelsea on Sunday, kick-off 4pm.

Ticketing

Tickets are available on restricted general sale and can be purchased by clicking here.

To be eligible to purchase during this window, you must have been registered on the Club’s ticketing database before 1 July 2017. Up to four tickets may be purchased during the restricted general sale window.

Tickets will not be available to purchase from the stadium on the day, however they will remain available to buy online and supporters will then be emailed their tickets to print off and these can then be scanned at the turnstiles for entry.

Club ticketing staff will be based at Wembley Stadium’s West Ticket Office on every home matchday this season, should you have any ticket enquiries or collection requirements. The ticket office will open four hours before kick-off (midday on Sunday) and close at half-time. Supporters collecting tickets are asked to do so as early as possible.

Access Cards

All access cards for the upcoming season for One Hotspur members, as well as tickets for this weekend’s game for non-members, have now been sent out. If you have not received either your access card or Chelsea match ticket in today’s post at the latest, then please contact ticket.office@tottenhamhotspur.com

Stadium Opening Time - Please Arrive Early for Security Checks

As all fans who attended matches at White Hart Lane will be aware, increased security procedures have been in place for some time. These thorough searches before supporters enter the stadium will also be implemented at Wembley. Security WILL NOT be reduced or compromised in the event of queues forming to clear security and kick-off will not be delayed as a result of this.

Turnstiles at Wembley will open 90 minutes before kick-off (2.30pm on Sunday) and we would therefore like to remind our fans to plan their journey for an earlier than normal arrival time so you can clear security in plenty of time before the match starts.

Supporters should also be aware that Wembley’s surroundings are likely to be busier than usual this Sunday due to an event taking place at the nearby SSE Arena, Wembley on the same day.

Official Tottenham Hotspur stewards will be on hand in and around the stadium should supporters have any questions concerning any security matters.

Wembley Stadium Bag Policy

In order to speed up entry into the stadium, we recommend that you bring with you as little as necessary and if a bag is essential it is advisable that it is small and see-through. If bringing a bag is unavoidable then your entry to the stadium will be delayed while your bag is searched so please allow additional time.

Please be aware that Wembley does not have lockers or luggage storage facilities for fans to store items.

Transport

Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination.

We would recommend all supporters attending our home games at Wembley Stadium this season visit the official Wembley Stadium website to get more information about travelling to the stadium, or download the Stadium Mobile App which provides a dedicated journey planner and live travel information.

We kick-off at 4.00pm this Sunday against Chelsea and would recommend all fans leave plenty of time to get to the stadium as it will be extremely busy around the area.

As a public transport destination, the Stadium is served by several major transport connections. It is an easy 10-minute walk from Wembley Park station, 12 minutes from Wembley Central station and very close to Wembley Stadium station. All stations have direct services from Central London and connections beyond.

Wembley Park station 
Wembley Park underground station is served by both the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines. On arrival at Wembley Park, stairs from the ticketing hall will guide you down onto Olympic Way from where the Stadium will be clearly visible. A 10-minute walk will bring you to the front of the stadium.

Wembley Central station 
This station has both Underground and Overground services. It is served by the Bakerloo Underground line, London Overground and national rail services, and connects to stations including Euston, Watford Junction and Willesden Junction.

Wembley Stadium station 
Wembley Stadium Station is on the Chiltern train line. This line services the Midlands, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. London trains on this line depart from Marylebone station. On arrival at the station, the stadium will be clearly visible. Lifts or stairs will take you from the platforms up onto street level.

Arriving by Car:

We strongly advise against driving to the stadium as there will be no parking available at the stadium or in the surrounding streets.

The limited parking spaces at the stadium are reserved for coaches, disabled visitors and event owners and are all pre-booked.

Brent Council operates a Wembley Stadium Event Day Protective Parking Scheme in all roads within an approximate 1.5 mile radius of the stadium. Operational on major event days only, the scheme is designed to minimise disruption and protect local residents and businesses from illegal parking from visitors to the stadium.

This means any visitors driving to events at Wembley Stadium will NOT be able to park in the surrounding streets. Brent Council has made it clear that illegally parked vehicles will be issued with large parking fines and will also be towed away.

In addition, Metropolitan Police may have security measures on approach roads on major event days which may also hinder a journey by car.

Park & Ride

Retail Outlets

Official Club merchandise will be available to purchase from a host of retail outlets including the official Wembley store and kiosks both inside and out the stadium. All One Hotspur members will receive a 10 per cent discount in all locations when they show their membership card.

Olympic Way trailers either side of Olympic way as you exit the train station: 12pm-4pm.
Rapid retail units Turnstiles B/D/P, outer concourse: 1pm-6.45pm (closed during the match).

Please be aware that shirt printing and Click and Collect will not be available at any of the above outlets for our fixture against Chelsea.

If you witness any form of anti-social, abusive or discriminatory behaviour, crime, vandalism, violence, the use of smoke bombs or pyrotechnics close to you at any of our matches, please send a text to 87474 with; FOUL (language & behaviour); RACISM (Racist chanting & shouting); HPH (Homophobic chanting); DRINK (Drinking alcohol in view of the pitch); SMOKE (Smoking in the stadium); STAND (Standing up); PYRO (use of or intended use of any pyrotechnic or smoke bomb), along with your location and the location of the offence – Block, Row, Seat.

Wembley Stadium will be ensuring that all toilets inside the stadium and on the external concourses will be opened up after the match. Additionally, in collaboration with Brent Council there will be a number of event day toilets deployed across the local area so we ask all fans to show respect for the local area and its community by utilising these.

There will be five event day toilet locations for Sunday’s fixture and we will update supporters should any of these locations change for future home fixtures:

1. The green space located at the Wembley Hill end of Empire Way opposite Tesco.
2. The Park Lane entrance to the Park opposite Lea Gardens.
3. On the Olympic Way junction with Fulton Road.
4. On the South Way junction with First Way near the Crystal Bar.
5. On the South Way junction with the White Horse Bridge.
