Ossie Ardiles and Teddy Sheringham will be inducted into the National Football Museum's Hall of Fame in September.

The Spurs legends will be recognised at a ceremony in central London alongside the likes of Sir Trevor Brooking, George Cohen, and Len Shackleton.

Ossie made over 300 appearances for us between 1978 and 1988, while Teddy scored 124 goals for the Club over two spells at The Lane between 1992 and 2003.

Each year the names are chosen by an expert panel including Sir Alex Ferguson, Jimmy Greaves, Gary Lineker, Mark Lawrenson, and Gordon Taylor.

Ossie said: "It is truly a great honour for me to be inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame and to be in the company of other Spurs legends such as Danny Blanchflower, Dave Mackay, Jimmy Greaves and Glenn Hoddle."

The National Football Museum Hall of Fame is now in its eighth year. Players and managers inducted in previous years include legends such as George Best, Terry Venables, Sir Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Greaves.

The event has grown over recent years and the London evening is one of three being held throughout the country, the others being held in Birmingham and Manchester.
