Looking ahead and back on events on the same day in years gone by.

1    SATURDAY

Burnley v Spurs, Premier League, at Turf Moor, 3pm

1992    Gary Lineker scores all three as we beat West Ham United 3-0 at home.

2007    We face Reading for the first time in the Premier League at the Lane. Robbie Keane’s (pictured, above) penalty is the decisive moment.

2    SUNDAY

Cy Goddard’s 20th birthday.

1952    We beat Huddersfield Town by the only goal at the Lane, scored by Len Duquemin.

1994    Teddy Sheringham on target as we return from Carrow Road with a 2-1 win over Norwich City.

3    MONDAY

1901    We lose 2-1 at Gravesend United in the Southern League. Bob Stormont is our scorer, his first for the club.

1984    Jonathan Blondel born in Ypres, Belgium. He would join us in season 2002-03 but only make the one start.

4    TUESDAY

1896     Oswaldtwistle Rovers visit us for a friendly. We win 4-0.

1964    We share nine goals with Ipswich Town at the Lane, winning 6-3.  Cliff Jones scores a hat-trick with John White (2) and Jimmy Robertson also on target.  We finish fourth in the Division One table that season while Town are relegated.

5    WEDNESDAY

Swansea City v Spurs, Premier League, at The Liberty Stadium, 7.45pm

1920    Jimmy Seed makes his Spurs debut at Wolves where we win 3-1 in Division Two. Arthur Grimsdell (2) and Jimmy Cantrell score.

1999    Roger Nilsen makes his Spurs debut at Newcastle where we draw 1-1 thanks to Darren Anderton’s penalty.

6    THURSDAY

1918    We win by the only goal at Millwall in the London Combination. Guest player Ernie Goldthorpe scores.

2002    A penalty for both sides and Teddy Sheringham converts ours – but we lose 2-1 at Highbury.

7    FRIDAY

1982    Graham Roberts scores to earn us a 1-1 home draw with Barcelona in the semi-final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup.

1987    Defender Tim O’Shea makes his Spurs debut at Sheffield Wednesday where Clive Allen’s goal wins it for us.

8    SATURDAY

Spurs v Watford, Premier League, at White Hart Lane, 12.30pm

1901    Sandy Brown scores all our goals as we beat West Bromwich Albion 4-0 in the FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park in front of a 46,000 crowd.

1907    West Ham hammered 4-0 in the Western League. Alf Whyman nets a hat-trick.

9    SUNDAY

1921    Bert Bliss, Jimmy Dimmock, Bert Smith and Arthur Grimsdell all play for England against Scotland.

1995    Everton knock us out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage with a 4-1 triumph at Elland Road (pictured, above). Jurgen Klinsmann’s penalty is our only success.

10    MONDAY

1899    We lose 5-4 at New Brompton in the Thames and Medway League.

2001    Glenn Hoddle’s first game as Spurs manager sees us beat Bradford City 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

11    TUESDAY

Deli Alli’s 21st birthday.

1992    Andy Gray scores his first Spurs goal in a 2-1 win at QPR. Gordon Durie also nets.

1999    We lose 2-0 after extra time to Newcastle United in the FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.

12    WEDNESDAY

1941    A 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal in the Football League War Cup. As a result we went out on a 3-2 aggregate because the Gunners won their ‘home’ game, also played at the Lane!

2014    A 3-3 draw at West Bromwich Albion. We come back from 3-0 down thanks to Harry Kane, an own goal and Christian Eriksen’s 90th minute equaliser.

13    THURSDAY

Kyle Walker-Peters’ 20th birthday.

1900    We beat Southampton 2-0 to claim the Southern League title. Player-manager John Cameron scores both.

2011    Real Madrid win by the only goal at the Lane as we exit the Champions League on a 5-0 aggregate.

14    FRIDAY

1923    Frank Hartley makes his Spurs debut at Birmingham where we lose 2-1 in Division One. Alex Lindsay is our marksman.

2010    Danny Rose (pictured, above) scores a spectacular goal on his debut as we beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Lane. Gareth Bale also hits the target.

15    SATURDAY

Spurs v AFC Bournemouth, Premier League, at White Hart Lane, 12.30pm

1922    We beat Arsenal 2-0 at home in the First Division, Arthur Grimsdell and Jimmy Seed on target.

1963    Liverpool defeated 7-2 at the Lane. Jimmy Greaves hits four.

16    SUNDAY

1888    Ace goalscorer Billy Minter born in Woolwich and would join us in March, 1908.

2005    Michael Dawson makes his Spurs debut at Liverpool where we draw 2-2 - and Erik Edman scores a screamer.

17    MONDAY

1886    We beat Hermitage 3-0 in a friendly at home.

1900    Woolwich Arsenal defeated 4-2 in the Southern District Combination, Tom Pratt scores twice.

18    TUESDAY

1936    Forward Albert Hall makes his Spurs debut at Norwich City where we lose by the only goal.

1953    Peter Baker makes his Spurs debut in a 1-1 draw at Sunderland where Sonny Walters scores our goal.

19    WEDNESDAY

1972    We draw 1-1 at AC Milan in the UEFA Cup semi-final, second leg, to reach the final on a 3-2 aggregate. Alan Mullery nets.

2008    Dimitar Berbatov on target in a 1-1 draw at Wigan.

20    THURSDAY

1918    Chelsea beat us 1-0 in a ‘home’ game at Highbury in the London Football Combination.

2011    Two goals for Rafael van der Vaart – one a penalty – in a 3-3 home draw with Arsenal.

21    FRIDAY

1990    Paul Gascoigne (pictured, below) and Gary Lineker share our goals in a 2-1 home success over Manchester United.

2003    We hit back twice to win 3-2 at West Brom. Robbie Keane (2) and Teddy Sheringham score.

22    SATURDAY

Chelsea v Spurs, Emirates FA Cup semi-final, at Wembley Stadium, 5.15pm

1949    Striker John Duncan born in Dundee and would join us in October, 1974.

1969    Roger Morgan scores his first Spurs goal as we win 2-1 at home to Southampton.

23    SUNDAY

1904    Bert Badger plays his last game for us – a 1-0 Western League defeat at Southampton.

1921    We win the FA Cup again with Jimmy Dimmock the match winner against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

24    MONDAY

Ben Davies’ 24th birthday.

Jan Vertonghen’s  30th birthday.

1940    We play Arsenal ‘away’ at White Hart Lane in the Football League South and win 4-2. Morrison scores twice for us.

1965    We complete an unbeaten season at home with a 6-2 win over Leicester City. Cliff Jones (3), Jimmy Greaves (2) and Alan Gilzean score.

25    TUESDAY

1992    Paul Gascoigne and Gary Lineker play their last home games for us – and are presented with mini replica FA Cups. We draw 3-3 with Everton.

1998    Jurgen Klinsmann and Les Ferdinand both on target as we beat Newcastle 2-0 at the Lane.

26    WEDNESDAY

Crystal Palace v Spurs, Premier League, at Selhurst Park, 8pm

1986    A 5-2 win on QPR’s plastic pitch. Mark Falco and Clive Allen both score twice with Glenn Hoddle also on target.

2014    Danny Rose scores the only goal as we win at Stoke.

27    THURSDAY

Josh Onomah’s 20th birthday.

1993    Future Spur Paolo Tramezzani (pictured, below) makes his first appearance at the Lane – for Inter Milan in the Fiorucci Cup. Real Madrid also compete.

2002    Gus Poyet hits the winner in a 1-0 White Hart Lane win over Liverpool.

28    FRIDAY

1888    Walter Tull born in Folkestone and would join us in April, 1909.

1975    We beat Leeds United 4-2 at the Lane to avoid relegation. Cyril Knowles (2), Martin Chivers and Alfie Conn all score.

29    SATURDAY

Shilow Tracey’s 19th birthday.

1912    We lose 3-0 to Woolwich Arsenal at Park Royal in a game staged to support the Daily Telegraph’s Titanic Fund.

1967    Nottingham Forest beaten 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-final at Hillsborough. Jimmy Greaves and Frank Saul score.

30    SUNDAY

Spurs v Arsenal, Premier League, at White Hart Lane, 4.30pm

1900    Willie Roberts plays his last game for Spurs and scores his only goal. We win 4-1 at Southampton.

2011    Sandro scores his first Spurs goal but we lose 2-1 at Chelsea.
