Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Colin Wilson and Melissa Crawford watched the Worthington Cup final in the company of the Singapore Spurs Supporters Club and feel that the dedicated fans more than deserve a mention.
THIS IS AN email to let you know what a great job the Singapore Spurs Supporters Club (http://www.spurs-sg.org ) did in celebrating the Worthington Cup Final.
Both my girlfriend and I live in England, but are on a 12 month round-the-world trip which started in July 2001. We are both life long Spurs supporters so we were obviously very disapointed to be away from home for the Worthingtom Cup Final.
As we were in Singapore for the final, we made contact with the SSSC who promptly invited us to come along to their celebrations which were being held in a bar in the city centre.
Apart from the result, the whole night was an example of how such an event should be organised. We started off with a pool competition, followed by dinner while we watched the Semi Final against Chelsea, then after a Spurs quiz and prize giving, we watched the Final, which was screened live in Singapore from 23:00 to 01:00 local time.
The bar was decked out as a mini Cardiff and was filled with over 100 supporters (as the photos on the web site show (http://www.spurs-sg.org/wcfinal2002.shtml) all wearing Spurs colours.
We would be grateful if you could post this email somewhere on the Spurs web site as the guys and girls at SSSC deserve a mention for their commitment to the club and their support for the team.
We certainly know that if we can't be in the UK for a game in the future, the Singapore Spurs Supported Club is place where we will want to be!
Come on you Spurs!
Colin Wilson & Melissa Crawford.
