Sheff Utd vs Spurs - travel advice

Tue 27 January 2015, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 28) represents our first trip to Bramall Lane since February, 2007 - here is some advice for fans travelling to Sheffield United for our Capital One Cup semi-final, second leg.

Bramall Lane
Bramall Lane is one of the oldest professional sports venues in the country and home of Sheffield United FC since 1889. It has been extensively modernised over the past 20 years and has a capacity of 33,700 seats.

Spurs fans will be located in the Jessica Ennis and Westfield Health stands both Upper and Lower sections, both have unrestricted views and excellent catering and welfare facilities.

Fans can expect to be searched prior to entry, along with a ticket check. Supporters wishing to bring flags to the match are advised that they must bring with them the relevant fire retardant certificates and will be allowed in to the stadium at the discretion of Sheffield United stewards and staff.

Tottenham Hotspur officials will be on hand to ‘meet and greet’ and to assist with any problems and will be in the stands during the game to assist the Sheffield United stewards.

Arrive early if possible
We would advise supporters to arrive early to ensure a comfortable entry before kick-off at 7.45pm. Turnstiles will be open from 6pm to allow fans early entry.

Directions
Bramall Lane is a 15-minute walk from Sheffield railway station – directions can be found HERE

Pubs
Fans are advised that all pubs en route to the stadium from the railway station and around the stadium are designated as 'home fans only' - our fans are advised to use restaurants and bars in the city centre.

Official train service
Here's a reminder of the details of our chartered train service exclusively for One Hotspur Members and Season Ticket Holders.

And finally...weather!
The weather is expected to turn cold on Wednesday night into the early hours of Thursday, so fans may want to keep a close eye on weather reports - here is the Sheffield forecast via the Met Office.
