Ryan Mason is ready to go out on the front foot in a bid to get a result at Burnley.
The two sides have shared 11 goals across three meetings in the Premier League and FA Cup so far this season and our newest England international would love nothing more than to help add to that total in a bid to take maximum points from Turf Moor on Sunday.
“I’ve always said that I need to be scoring more goals and hopefully that can come soon,” said the 23-year-old, who stepped off the bench for his senior Three Lions bow in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw in Italy.
“I’m determined to score more goals myself but we’ve got eight games coming up and as long as we get the results we want I’m not too bothered who hits the target to be honest.
“I always go out on the pitch to try to have an influence so we’ll see what happens, although it’s going to be a very difficult game at Burnley.
“We all saw how Manchester City got on against them a few weeks ago up at their place when Burnley beat them 1-0 and, yes, they’re a strong side.
“We know that, though, and we know what to expect. Hopefully we can stamp our authority on the game and get the points.”
