Glenn Hoddle awaits a reversal of roles in terms of crowd support at Maine Road on Monday night.

The boss described our fans as 'as loud as he'd heard them for many a year' in last weekend's North London derby cracker at the Lane.

But now he expects the famously loyal and loud Manchester City fans to serve up a similar atmosphere for the televised Premiership clash.

Glenn said: "It will tough at Maine Road with a crowd that gets right behind them.

"They've been through thick and thin through the years but now they're in the Premiership I'm sure it will be a vibrant atmosphere up there.

"There is a lot of belief here after Sunday and we don't need to talk about that because the players recognise that with how they played.

"It's all about reproducing it or getting close to that performance as we can.

"That's difficult because of the circumstances, it's a one-off game and our supporters were as loud as I've heard them for many a year. That was down to how we performed on the pitch and they responded.

"We won't get that at Maine Road. We'll have our great travelling support behind us but it will be the opposite and we'll have to be aware of that and perhaps play in a different way."
