Roberto Soldado has urged the squad to build on last Sunday’s win at Aston Villa.
Late goals from Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane saw us recover from a goal down against the 10-man hosts to secure three points in the Premier League for the first time since our home win over Southampton at the start of October.
With Stoke City heading to White Hart Lane this weekend, striker Roberto reckons that dramatic comeback at Villa Park could be the catalyst for a positive spell of results on the domestic stage.
“We need to follow up on the win at Villa,” he said. “We needed the points there, 100 per cent.
“After two games against Manchester City and Newcastle where we lost, last Sunday’s points were important to move us up the league table. They’re very important because of how tight the standings are.
“We worked hard at Villa and we need to take confidence from this.”
