As part of the Club's support for Remembrance Sunday and The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, our players will be wearing special edition poppy shirts in our match against Arsenal.
All shirts will be signed by the players and auctioned off to raise money for the Poppy Appeal. The captain's armband will also feature a poppy for this match and this will be included in the auction, along with the Poppy embroidered boots of Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris, as well as Hugo’s special edition Poppy goalkeeper gloves.
Further details on how you can bid for these items this will be provided after Sunday's fixture.
Prior to kick-off on Sunday, four serviceman will enter the pitch - one supporter from each club will bring on a joint commemorative wreath, while a third serviceman will then read Ode of Remembrance before a fourth plays the Last Post - this will then be followed by a period of silence.
We should like to remind our fans travelling to the game to be respectful of this and remain quiet if entering the stadium or on the concourse close to the 4pm kick off time.
That morning, Club Ambassador Gary Mabbutt will lay a wreath on behalf of the Club at the Haringey Borough Civic Act of Remembrance at Wood Green War Memorial.
This follows on from the activities that took place at Monday's fixture against Aston Villa, where we welcomed to White Hart Lane current serving members of our Armed Forces, including personnel from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force who are all members of our Official Supporters Clubs, Armed Forces Spurs and RAF Spurs, along with members of the Rifles Regiment.
So far this year, the Club has raised over £6,000 for the Poppy Appeal from the sale of its limited edition Poppy Pin Badges alone, with Poppy sellers from the Royal British Legion present at both of our home fixtures this week.
